What You’ll Learn and Prepare for:
The path toward becoming a U.S. citizen means gaining knowledge and understanding of basic facts about American culture and society, including:
- The court system
- The responsibilities of a U.S. citizen
- How the American government works
- U.S. history
- The Constitution
- The different branches of government
- How laws are made
Taking a citizenship class offers you a chance to gain this knowledge from an experienced instructor in a step-by-step process that will also prepare you for the necessary tests and interviews required to complete the citizenship process.
As a part of IDG Legal’s Immigration Support service, drivers on their path to obtaining U.S. citizenship can attend citizenship classes for free. This is made possible through our partnership with the ANSOB Center for Refugees, a Queens-based non-profit organization.
