At IDG Legal, we are a trusted guide for rideshare drivers navigating a legal system that can often feel complex, confusing, and intimidating. While the IDG (Independent Drivers Guild) works to fight for the rights of drivers across the country, we have partnered with them to offer legal benefits and resources (mostly free) to Uber and Lyft drivers nationwide.

Are the lawyers experienced in issues that rideshare drivers face?

Yes. What sets us apart from the rest is our network of trusted lawyers, all of whom specialize in the unique needs of Uber and Lyft drivers. These lawyers have hands-on experience with cases like traffic tickets, TLC issues, workers’ compensation through The Black Car Fund, and much more. We’ve made sure they understand the specific challenges drivers face, so you can get the best help possible.

Do I need to be a paying member of the Independent Drivers Guild (IDG) to use IDG Legal?

No. IDG Legal services are available to all TLC license holders, regardless of IDG membership. While membership offers additional benefits, it is not required for our legal support services.

Is IDG Legal a law firm?

No.IDG Legal is a project of Member Resources, LLC, and is not a law firm. We simply connect you with dedicated lawyers who have agreed to discount their normal fees to rideshare drivers. Any attorney-client relationship formed is between you and the attorney you retain and not between you and Member Resources.

Does it cost money to use IDG Legal services?

Our services are either free or deeply discounted. IDG Legal itself does not charge you for access to legal help; we connect you with the lawyers who we know will give you the trusted support you need. Some services are completely free, like help with immigration paperwork and housing issues. For other legal matters, attorneys in our network offer discounted rates for drivers. For example, fighting a traffic ticket only costs $100. Before paying anything, you’ll always know the cost upfront – no surprises, no hidden fees.

If you’re unsure about pricing, just reach out! We’ll help you find the best option for your situation.

Can I talk to someone in a language other than English?

Yes, our Member Helpline Representatives can provide real-time translation services in up to 140 different languages, ensuring clear communication.
